Rave Review for Freak the Mighty ****
Freak the Mighty is a realistic fiction book written by Rodman Philbrick. The call number is FIC PHI. Freak the Mighty is a great book that tells the story of two very different people that become friends. Max is very tall and not very smart. He was living in his neighborhood when Freak moved in next to him. They first met at daycare years ago and they despised each other. Freak is a genius that is very short and cannot walk without crutches. They eventually work out their differences and become friends. Together they were unstoppable and called Freak the Mighty. My favorite part of the book was when Killer Kane kidnapped Max because it was interesting and action packed. This was a sad book that left me feeling annoyed and sad. If you like action, you'll like this book. I give Freak the Mighty 4 stars.

Rave Review for Freak the Mighty *****
Freak the Mighty is a realistic fiction book written by Rodman Philbrick. The call number is FIC PHI. Freak the Mighty is a novel about Max a boy who has always been called scary, huge, dumb, slow, stupid. He lives with his Gram and Grim because his dad "Killer Kane" was in jail for the murder of somebody ( I don't want to spoil it.) That was all until Freak came along and they became Freak the Mighty. Max is a huge guy who towers over everybody physically but when it comes to his education he is a mouse; Freak on the other hand is practically a mouse he is the smallest boy in probably the whole school, but he is the smartest, he is a GENIUS! So Max becomes the body and Freak becomes the brains. Freak the Mighty (their nickname) go on quest and adventures to save fair maidens and slay dragons, and every time Freak is riding high on Max's shoulders. My favorite part in the book is 4th of July the whole town goes to a picnic and firework show. Freak and Max are minding their own business when Tony D. and his gang (local thugs) come up to them looking for trouble. Freak and max try to get away but his gang surround them. Freak tells Max to ignore the cretin. "Cretin. C-R-E-T-I-N. Defined as one who suffers from mental deficiency," Freak says. Tony D. gets very mad then and chases them into the lake until the cops come and rescue Freak and Max. I like that Freak wasn't afraid of Tony D. even though he was a 17 year old thug who carried a knife and has been involved with the cops. Freak the Mighty is funny, sad, thoughtful, heartwarming, action packed, and examines loyalty to friends. It left me feeling cheerful, content, curious, disappointed, energized, giggly, hopeful, inspired, motivated, shocked, surprised, touched. If you like heart warming, adventurous, suspenseful, memorable, and humorous books then Freak the Mighty is for you! I give Freak the Mighty 5 stars.

But while trapped in this totalitarian nightmare, Wisty and Whit discover they have incredible powers they'd never dreamed of. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban *****
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a fantasy, mystery book written by J. K. Rowling. The call number is FIC ROW. It's Harry Potter's third year at Hogwarts and after receiving 3 birthday cards from his friends, he is to spend a week with his Aunt Marge. After Marge went on about how horrible Harry's parents are, Harry gets a bit too mad and blows up Marge like a big balloon before he storms out and into the streets. After a few minutes of running, Harry stops for a break and sees in a dark alley way a big, dark, dog standing there looking at him. Surprised, Harry fell back and almost got him by the Knight Bus. After hitching a ride on the Knight Bus, he ends up at the Leaky Cauldron and enters Diagon Alley to have a nice conversation with the head of the Ministry of Magic. Harry goes and gets a room to stay for the next few weeks until school starts and wanders around Diagon Alley. After finding his friends, Ron and Hermione, he, Ron, Hermione, and Ron's siblings board the train to Hogwarts. Only a few minutes until they reached Hogwarts, Harry had his first meet with a dementor. After fainting, he meets his new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Lupin. This Hogwarts year is normal until they start learning that, Sirius Black, has got into the school. Sirius Black had murdered 13 people, 1 wizard and 12 muggles. He is also thought to be one of Voldemort's best helpers. He was sent to Azkaban but escaped. People keep making up ways of how he got in, but none true. Then another sighting of Sirius was when he was found holding a knife above Ron's head. More days went by until the school exams. After a normal day of exams, Harry last one was Divination. Professor Trelawney gave him an unusual exam, and after it was done, her voiced turned deep, eyes rolled into the back of her head and she told Harry about Voldemort's faithful servant returning to him this night. Harry, Ron, and Hermione decided to visit Hagrid using the Invisibility Cloak. When going back into the castle, a wild werewolf drags Ron away into the hole under the Whomping Willow. Both Harry and Hermione followed. At the end of it they met Sirius Black and Ron. Lupin using the Marauder's map, followed Harry and them and helped Sirius Black. Then Sirius told the whole story on how he was innocent and the wizard, Peter Pitigrew, was the man who killed all those people. Peter was in the room the whole time with them as Ron's rat Scabbers. Snape shows up using the Invisibility Cloak they had dropped a while back and tried to trap Sirius and Lupin but got knocked out by Harry, Ron, and Hermione. After Harry had been told the story, he and his friends ventured back out of the hole, but what they didn't know was that Lupin was about to turn into a werewolf. They all ran but all got knocked out by the dementors. Awaking in the hospital wing of Hogwarts, Dumbledore told Hermione to use her necklace to go back in time. When doing so, they saved BuckBeak, the hippogriff that was being executed and Sirius by using the hippogriff. After all that they came back to the hospital wing to find Dumbledore and Snape in an argument about how Sirius must have escaped. Then he, his friends, and all of Hogwart's students get back on the train to a new, and for Harry, horrible summer. My favorite part of the book were all the times Harry saw the Grim. I wanted to know if he was going to get severely hurt or not. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a funny, thoughtful, action-packed book that left me feeling curious, motivated, energized, shocked and surprised. If you like the other Harry Potter books you'll love Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I give this book 5 stars.

Rave Review for Wonder *****
Wonder is a great realistic fiction book written by R. J. Palacio. The call number is FIC PAL. This book is about a boy named August who is going into fifth grade. He has never been in school before. Auggie is very scared about this new adventure. The book is about the people he meets and how he is treated by them. My favorite part of the book is Auggie's family. Wonder is funny, sad, and thoughtful The book made me feel hopeful. If you like heartwarming books you will like Wonder!!!
I give Wonder 5 stars.

Rave Review for Middle School: Ultimate Showdown ****
Middle School: Ultimate Showdown is a realistic fiction book written by James Patterson and illustrated by Alec Longstreth. The call number FIC PAT. This book is about characters named Rafe and Georgia. They are brother and sister. Both of them fight and disagree on a lot of things. Rafe has his own little way of doing things, Georgia is one of those people who obey everything that he says. This book is a wonderful book if you want something easy or interesting to read. My favorite part of the book is when Rafe talks about his favorite jeans. And when his mom goes and irons them he gets really mad. Also he doesn't care what happens to them, they are just the type of jeans he likes. If you like fun & games books you will like this one! It is funny and action-packed. It left me feeling crazy and surprised!
I give Middle School: Ultimate Showdown 4 stars.
