Summer Reading Program

Did you know that it is very important to read over the summer? Research shows that kids who read over the summer come back to school the next year and do better than kids who didn't read at all!!!

All of you need to keep reading over the summer. Even though our library will be closed the Sherman Public Library will have a great FREE summer reading program.

A very big thank you to everyone who bought something and supported our Book Fair. We sold almost $2,300.00 worth of books. That means over $1,100.00 of books for our library! Also, a big thank you to my Student Crew for all of their help; I couldn't have done it without you.

The GMS Book Fair starts this Friday, October 18, with a Preview Day. Come shop in the GMS library Monday - Thursday, October 21-24 from 8:30-3:00. If you can't make it to the school go online and shop. Each purchase helps our library. To shop online click here.

A New School Year!!

Welcome to a new school year at Gunter Middle School. I am the new librarian this year. When your teachers allow, please feel free to come to the library and browse through the books. I hope everyone has a great year and I look forward to serving you in the library.
